Retired General Michael Flynn has condemned radio host Sid Rosenberg’s recent proposal for a U.S. military campaign that would result in the “complete annihilation” of Iran.
Rosenberg, host of New York City’s “Sid and Friends in the Morning,” appeared on Fox & Friends Weekend on July 25 to argue that President Trump must launch a “massive all-out attack” against Iran, stating that such an action is the only way to end the conflict.
Flynn criticized Rosenberg’s comments on social media, writing: “This gentleman has no idea what he’s talking about nor how monumentally challenging an all out war against an alliance of Iran, China, Russia, Pakistan, North Korea (all nuclear armed nations) and other loosely aligned nations and ideologies would be.”
During a discussion with former MTV star Rachel Campos-Duffy, Rosenberg acknowledged that President Trump does not want casualties but insisted he has no alternative: “There’s no other way to stop this. There’s no other way to win this war.”
The radio host argued that American soldiers join the military to fight for their country and eliminate threats like the Iranian regime, even if it requires sacrifice. Flynn also emphasized that Rosenberg’s plan disregards military readiness and congressional approval processes: “He has zero idea about the readiness, preparation, scalability or resourcing required that our military is at this time.”
Rosenberg maintained that President Trump, described as “a nice man” who does not want people to die, must accept the inevitable: “It’s inevitable that President Trump is going to have to do what he doesn’t want to do.”
