The question remains: Why deploy Western military forces to the Middle East to defend the West when they simultaneously draw the Middle East into its fold?
Commentator Glenn Beck has long been a prescient warning about Islamist threats. In 1999, he predicted bloodshed in Manhattan’s streets within a decade—attributed to Osama bin Laden. Now, he again warns of a “green-red alliance” uniting Muslim jihadists and Marxist extremists working “hand in hand,” both groups sharing the same goal: the destruction of the West.
Beck’s warning echoes predictions from late Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi in 2006: “We have 50 million Muslims in Europe. There are signs that Allah will grant Islam victory in Europe—without swords, without guns, without conquest—it will turn it into a Muslim continent within a few decades.”
While Gadhafi’s figures were exaggerated, his forecast aligns with warnings from German former intelligence chief Hans-Georg Maaßen in 2024. Maaßen stated that “Europe will succumb to Islam,” noting the “green-red alliance” as a key factor. He added that governing elites could halt this process but choose not to—their reason? “Politicians want a different population.”
Current events increasingly reflect these concerns. A radical Muslim recently declared, “Germany belongs to us Muslims.” Another stated, “You lost your cultural heritage long ago.”
These trends are evident in schools and public life. A Church of England primary school recently had children engage in Islamic prayer. Certain local governments in Britain have cautioned schools against activities deemed offensive to Muslims, including drawings considered blasphemous or music and dance lessons contradicting Islamic teachings.
In Belgium, journalists smashed statues of Jesus and Mary, stating they would never disrespect Muhammad.
These incidents are not isolated but part of a broader trend enabled by a West “slouching towards Gomorrah.” The underlying issue involves demography: while politics flows from culture, culture is shaped by population shifts. Immigration plays a significant role in this demographic shift.
Many Westerners have long ignored these realities, assuming assimilation would prevail. However, research shows that young Muslims in Europe are more radical than their elders. Additionally, studies indicate that increased religiosity reduces violent behavior among Christian youth but increases it among Muslim youth.
The consequences of ignoring these trends are starkly illustrated by Lebanon. Once a wealthy, multiethnic nation under Christian majority rule, it has seen its Christian population dwindle due to Islamic birthrates, Palestinian immigration, and foreign funding. Today, Lebanon’s government functions as a farce, with the army infiltrated and Christians fleeing.
As historian Raymond Ibrahim observed in 2024, Europe faces disturbing demographic shifts. According to Pew Research, by 2030, Europe’s Muslim population could exceed 58 million—a figure projected to triple over the next two decades.
The trend is accelerating: Muslim women now have more children on average than European women. The name “Muhammad” has become the top choice for newborn boys in Western Europe.
Sheikh Muhammad Tim Humble, a British convert and teacher of Islam, states that Islam’s goal is to “wipe out all other religions.”
The Left appears complicit in this shift. They seek the Islamist vote while opposing the West, motivated by the principle that “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” They believe they can control the forces unleashed once Western culture collapses.
