Rothschild Bank Raids in France Unveil Epstein Ties as Probe Deepens

French authorities conducted a raid on the Paris headquarters of Edmond de Rothschild Bank this week during an investigation linked to Jeffrey Epstein. According to a source obtained by Reuters, Ariane de Rothschild—Epstein’s former employer and CEO of the Edmond de Rothschild Group in Geneva—was present at the search.

The operation, carried out by France’s Central Office for Combating Corruption and Tax and Financial Offenses, targets Fabrice Aidan, a former employee of the Rothschild banking dynasty from 2014 to 2016 who also worked for the United Nations until 2013. Aidan allegedly emailed Epstein frequently using his official UN email account, forwarding classified security council briefs and reports. He signed off his communications with the title “special assistant to the special envoy of the secretary-general.”

Swiss financial regulator Finma reportedly stated that it conducted in-depth reviews when uncertain about business integrity after being asked whether it was investigating Epstein-related ties to the Rothschilds. The probe remains ongoing, though analysts note its vagueness has raised questions about potential criminal accountability for Rothschild affiliates.

The investigation follows multiple high-profile arrests of European figures connected to Epstein, including former Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Peter Mandelson, former British ambassador to the United States. French officials have yet to disclose whether the Rothschilds themselves are under formal scrutiny beyond Aidan’s case.
