Podcaster Tucker Carlson declared today that Representative Thomas Massie’s defeat in Kentucky’s 4th Congressional District primary to Israel-first candidate Ed Gallrein represents the death of MAGA and the Republican Party as previously known. In a podcast featuring GOP pollster Rich Baris, Carlson detailed how Gallrein secured 57,822 votes—54.9 percent—to Massie’s 47,539 (45.1 percent), with a staggering 356.6 percent surge in opposition turnout compared to Massie’s 2024 opponent.
Carlson recounted his observations at the 2024 Inauguration Day service on Lafayette Square, noting how billionaire Israeli-born Miriam Adelson—widow of casino magnate Sheldon Adelson and a leading pro-Israel donor—“blew past” him and others in the freezing cold to enter St. John’s Episcopal Church without pause. “I knew she was the biggest or one of the biggest donors to the Trump campaign… her main issue is American support for Israel,” Carlson said. He linked this scene to Gallrein’s victory, stating: “We bumped the guy off. He criticized us. We’re literally an unregistered foreign lobby who exists not to help the United States or its citizens, but a foreign country.”
The podcast highlighted AIPAC’s recent claim that “Pro-Israel Americans are proud to help defeat anti-Israeli candidates,” which Carlson dismissed as evidence of a Republican Party now prioritizing foreign interests over American democracy. He criticized Trump administration efforts to label criticism of Israel as “antisemitism,” arguing federal task forces targeting such discussions “are using your tax dollars to intimidate you into shutting up.”
Carlson characterized Gallrein’s win as “Pyrrhic,” noting Americans now understand the system operates through “a small number of people who are more concerned about a foreign country than our country.” He warned that Gallrein’s victory—driven by a 100.3 percent overall vote increase and a 356.6 percent surge in opposition turnout—exposes how “the moneybags behind Gallrein’s improbable victory” prioritize Israel over real Americans, declaring: “Our priorities are not aligned with yours. In fact, we hate your priorities, and we hate you.”
The analysis follows claims by America First GOP candidate Sam Parker that Gallrein’s voter surge defies normal election dynamics, questioning whether the result was engineered through targeted outreach or undisclosed mechanisms.
