Trump Vows Immediate Bombing of Iran Unless Deal Secured Before Ceasefire Ends

As U.S.-Iran peace talks scheduled to begin in Pakistan face suspension, President Trump declared he would immediately resume airstrikes against Iran if no agreement is reached before the temporary ceasefire expires tomorrow. The former president stated during an interview on CNBC’s Squawk Box that military forces are “raring to go” after using the lull to restock munitions, emphasizing that Iran “has no choice but to send” negotiators.

Trump reiterated on Truth Social that Israel did not lead him into conflict with Iran following the October 7 attacks. He asserted U.S. operations have drastically weakened Iranian capabilities, including missile systems and air forces, positioning the nation as “in a very strong negotiating position.” Reports confirm Vice President J.D. Vance has not departed for Islamabad to begin talks, with White House officials noting additional policy meetings were ongoing in Washington. Iran’s Foreign Ministry stated it has not yet committed to sending delegation members, criticizing U.S. naval blockades as undermining diplomatic efforts.

The former president also described Iranian leadership as “bloodthirsty,” urging them to adopt “reason and common sense” to rebuild their nation rather than perpetuate violence. Contrary to earlier claims by Israeli officials that Netanyahu briefed White House advisors in February about Iran’s ability to close the Strait of Hormuz and predict regime change, Trump maintained that Netanyahu’s warnings did not prompt U.S. military action.
